The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist will join Avalara's Finance department as a contractor member of the Cash Application Team. The Specialist is responsible for posting and applying all service related payment. This position has a high degree of daily contact with customers, other internal departments, and managers via email and telephone.
- Perform daily payment posting
- Support customer payment inquiry
- Maintain Accounts Receivable Aging
- Provide payment application support to Collection and Billing Operation
- Resolve payment chargeback
- Manage customers Auto Payment Program
- Perform bad debt write off
- Manage customer refund
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.com
- 2-5 years of Cash Application Specialist experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience building detailed financial models
- Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
