- Minimize the equipment failure through root cause analysis and addressing/ highlighting the issues
- Ensure MTBF improvement and reduction in MTTR of equipment.
- Improving maintenance procedures to reduce production loss.
Resource allocation to attain optimum utilization and reduce cost
- Benchmarking, job and responsibility design, multiskilling, skill development, introducing automation
- OT control by leave planning, absenteeism control through counselling, outsourcing to enhance productivity of individual employees
- Explore the alternative vendors and evaluate the technical feasibility.
- Managing the inventory of mechanical spare parts at an optimized level to minimize the working capital while ensuring the plant requirements and risks are addressed.
Plan & control budget to ensure that the departmental working and expenses are in line with unit and business targets
- Prepare maintenance, capex, departmental maintenance budget in consultation with operations (for other than PM), identifying required costs, prioritization, seeking approval and ensuring adherence to the same.
Development of the Standard procedures, processes and guidelines for the working of plant and ensuring adherence to them
- Proposing and preparing the Standard procedures for routine maintenance processes
- Ensuring the communication of the SOP to all concerned and adherence to them.
- Study of the life of the basic equipment, pipes etc. and life cycle analysis of standard (pump machine etc.) equipment and based on the study for making the informed decisions.
- Prepare standard time sheet for RM/PM/BD maintenance of each equipment.
Maintain the discipline in plant for harmonious environment and no loss of working time due to IR issues
- Making the scheduled visits to various sections and resolving the issues wherever required and providing the resources, if need be to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Carrying out the counselling wherever required for smooth plant operations.
Manage business excellence initiatives and comply with legal requirement to achieve sustainability of the process
- Ensure awareness and capability building of team members towards business excellence requirement.
- Manager WCM/IMS initiatives in coordination with Business excellence team
- Ensure legal compliances required in all process.
