This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition:

Researches, designs, develops, configures, integrates, tests and maintains existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions including databases through integration of technical and business requirements. Applications and infrastructure solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new program, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications, infrastructure, and information systems including database management systems. Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies. Typical customers are company end users and various functional areas such as Supply Chain, Research and Development, Marketing, Finance, a business, or the company.

Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Participates as a member of and leads cross-functional development teams. Performs analysis of cross-functional and complex business requirements. Designs complex cross-functional solutions for others to code. Provides mentoring and guidance to other developers.
  • Designs, prepares and executes Unit tests. Sets team strategy and direction; represents team to senior management and client/customers. Develops innovative multi-team solutions to complex problems.
  • A preponderance of time is spent in strategic and creative problem solving. Demonstrates broad technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction; exerts influence outside of immediate team and drives change. Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to manage global maintenance services across various technology areas or functions. Performs solution design.
  • Applies the company and 3rd party technologies and leads design of highly complex infrastructure and software solutions, while driving innovation. Independently implements end- user or enterprise infrastructure or services of significant complexity.
  • Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and customers. Consults with team members and other organizations, customer and vendors on complex issues. Mentors others in the technology community; may publish or otherwise engage professionally outside of the company.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience writing code (such as, and not limited to, Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net; databases like SqlServer/ Oracle; and Testing tools Experience of multiple full release cycles.
  • Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies.
  • Advanced understanding of modern software development tools and SCM.
  • Advanced understanding of Software Test methodologies, and an expert in testing tools. Strong General Project Management.
  • Strong Customer/ Vendor Management.
  • Strong Business Analysis. Master in DBA.
  • Advanced Web Technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated influencing skills, high level of technical and team leadership skills.
  • Bachelors degree in IT / Engineering or related discipline with over 12 years of experience implementing SAP solutions in a senior technical role.
    Strong experience in SAP technical areas using ABAP in one or more core SAP modules from Master Data, Order Management, Procurement, Supply Chain to Finance.
    Minimum 3-5 full life cycle global implementations (Prior experience defining/implementing worldwide solutions across multiple legal entities in a highly complex systems and project environment) including hands-on design and development.

    Experience with implementing solutions using OData Services, CDS Views, ABAP on HANA, OOPs ABAP, Dynpro, Reports, Enhancements, Object Oriented programming, BADI, User-exits, Smart Forms, SAP Script, ALE/EDI IDOCs, SOAP/REST Web Services, WebDynpro Applications, Fiori, Optimized Database programming etc., is mandatory.

    Significant experience with troubleshooting and debugging complex integrated applications, deep knowledge in data model of various SAP applications and table structure is essential.
    Knowledge of basic system administration tasks such as database analysis, tracing issues, identifying performance bottlenecks is required.
    Strong business process knowledge and association of processes to technical areas in SAP is desired.
    Experience with SAP implementation methodologies and modern software development methodologies
    Advanced understanding of software test methodologies, and experience with testing automation tools is a plus
    Exposure to several SAP modules and ability to create test data in Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, Project Systems, Service Management and FI/CO modules are of great value.
    Demonstrated leadership skills to lead teams and achieve results.
    Sound analytical and problem solving skills, Excellent consulting skills, Demonstrated leader, Self-confident.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills of complex and technical concepts.  Demonstrates strong command of the English language.
