IHOP Cooks are responsible for the preparation and cooking of food products accurately and with minimal waste. Duties of this position include learning and applying all IHOP-specialized galley terminology, plating, menu items and procedures according to company standards.
A Line Cook, or Prep Cook, plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks for a restaurant. Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.
Line cooks must possess basic cooking skills. They must also understand how to use a variety of food service equipment, including knives, pots and pans, ovens and grills, food processors and slicers. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
