The Role
Today,AIFisataninflectionpoint,seekingtoexpanditspresenceacrossIndiathroughaDecentralizationand Reorganization of its India Operations. Currently, AIF employs 1700+ people in 36 states & unionterritories across management, administration, and field operations. The Trust raises about USD 20million,whichistobe scaled uptodouble inthenextfiveyears.
Givenitsambitions,AIFisnowlookingtoonboardapassionate,talented,andenergeticRegionalDirector to lead their highly experienced and qualified programs in the region (One each in North, West, South,East). As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), theRegional Director will contribute todeveloping and executing AIFs strategy in the region. They will lead & manage AIFs operations in theregion program execution, fundraising, financial and people management, procurements and relatedpolicies,governmentrelations andotherstakeholdermanagement.
ThispositionrepresentsAIFintheregionandwillserveastherepresentativeoftheRegionatAIF. Theywill lead AIFs Regional Teams (across Projects, Finance, Administration, HR, Procurements), work closelywithNationalTechnicalDirectors,NationalDirectorsofFunctionsandwillreportto AIFsDeputyCountryDirector(Programs).
Theincumbentmustholdspecificpriorexperienceofleading&managinglarge-scale,complex,andmulti-stateprojects,P&Lfortheregion,largemulti-stateteams,portfolioofdonors andgovernmentpartners.
The incumbent will be based at the Regional Office (Lucknow / Bangalore / Bhubaneshwar / Mumbai ) inIndiaandtheywill berequired to frequently travel tolocations acrossIndia.

15+yearsofprior relevantwork experiencewithatleast5yearsin aleadershiprole.
StrongknowledgeandunderstandingofthesocialanddevelopmentissuesinIndia,particularlywithinthe regionofoperation.
Priorexperienceatmanaginglarge,multi-stateprojects.
PriorexperienceofworkingwithinIndiasdevelopment/social-sectorwithprovenexperienceinprogrammingand timelyimplementationatthe groundlevel.
Demonstratedabilitytobuildandmaintaineffectivepartnershipswithdiversestakeholders,includinggovernmentagencies,donors,andcommunityleaders.
ProvenFundraisingexperiencefrom arangeofdiversifieddonorsincludingCSR,FoundationsandHNIs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent theorganizationeffectivelytovariousaudienceswithdemonstratedability innegotiationsandnetworking.
Provenabilitytosuccessfullysuperviseageographically widespreadteam andworkcloselyincoordinationwithothercrossfunctionalteams todeliver projectson-time.
