R&D Intellectual Property Analyst/Office

You will be working as R&D Intellectual Property Analyst/Office and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Buildings division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Department Lead and will be responsible for supporting the division and BU Patent Officers in assessing ABB’s IP position and trending in the business and technology competition landscape.

Your responsibilities

• Performing state of art and trending searches in the frame of business or technology innovation initiatives
• Providing support to division and BU Patent Officers, technology and project or product managers
• Conducting intelligence IP researches, landscape and trend studies, specifically business intelligence and patent, literature or market studies
• Supporting the division and BUs IP exploitation by watching and analyzing the competitive technical environment
• Analyzing large amount of information from different sources (technical, IP, market)
• Evaluating data to summarize findings and reaching logical, well-reasoned conclusions
• Preparing detailed reports, as well as presentations to summarize findings and communicate recommendations or conclusions to business and technology

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree technical engineering (including Mechanics, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic…)
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in relevant field
• Experience in IP landscapes as support, IP Analyst, Patent Officers
• Knowledge in Intellectual Property Rights
• Understanding of the products and technologies under development, to provide comprehensive
• Excellent communication and strong analytical skills
