Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or college
- Minimum experience of 6 to 8 years in Design & Detailed Engineering related to Mechanical Components Specifically for Renewables sector or Heavy Scale Manufacturing industries.
- Experience in 2D Drawings and 3D models involving Assembly, Parts, Machined components, Fabricated parts, Sheet metal, Welding, lifting Jigs, Castings, Forgings and Fasteners
- Practical knowledge of Different Manufacturing Process such as Turning, drilling, milling, laser cutting, welding processes, fasteners, surface treatment, non-destructive tests, and requirements such as mechanical /electrical interferences feasibility checks, dimensional checks, collision checks
- Hands on experience in 3D model reviews, drawing reviews, GD & T, Material selection, Manufacturing process, Surface coating, Tolerance stake up, Bolt torque, Hand calculations
- Hands on Experience in UG NX, Corelle, AutoCAD or any other PLM tools.
- Knowledge on Wind turbine guide lines, drafting standards, Dimension and tolerance, GD&T, Design for Manufacturing, DFMEA, Limits & Fits, for Mechanical drawings involved in Heavy components manufacturing and assembly.
- Good in conducting in technical review of engineering drawings and specification as per standards such as ISO, EN, DIN, UL and ASTM
- Excellent technical writing in general with focus on requirements and design documents
- Strong verbal communication skills and customer focused mindset
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills for technical and business audiences
- Able and willing to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks
- Continuous improvement mindset with an ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to do an activity or process
- Attention to detail and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
- Proficient with computer software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
