Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Strategy:
Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for Drupal-based web applications.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design effective test scenarios.
- Test Execution and Documentation:
Perform thorough testing of Drupal applications, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Document and track defects, providing detailed and actionable feedback to development teams.
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Automation Strategy and Implementation:
Develop and implement a robust automation strategy for Drupal-based web applications.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Behat, Selenium, Cypress, and other relevant tools which are prevalent in the Drupal community to leverage support in case of need.
Identify opportunities for increasing automation coverage and efficiency in the testing process.
- Test Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Drupal applications.
Conduct thorough testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Execute and oversee manual and automated testing activities, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
- Defect Management:
Document, track, and prioritize defects, providing detailed and actionable feedback to development teams.
Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Foster effective communication and collaboration within the QA team and with other departments.
Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify areas for process improvement and efficiency in the QA and testing processes.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in Drupal development and quality assurance.
Good to have
- Good understanding of Drupal CMS or any relevant CMS.
- Experience in API automation
- Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in QA testing with a focus on Drupal applications.
- Proven expertise in test automation using Behat, Selenium, Cypress, or
similar tools.
- Experience leading and mentoring QA teams.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in an agile development environment.
