Job Description Summary:

Project Safety Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring Bottling Plants are incompliance with applicable requirements from KORE, OHSAS, and regulatory requirements during the Capacity expansion projects. This includes defining programs and protocols for adherence.

What You’ll Do for Us:


Establish a strategic framework that promotes a safety-first culture within the bottling system, working towards identifying and controlling health and safety risks, minimizing the occurrence of accidents, aiding enforcement protocol, and elevating overall performance with a particular emphasis on Project Safety.

Oversee the safety standards and protocols across all project work in Coca-Cola's bottling plant operations in INSWA, with a scope that includes greenfield projects (new facilities) and brownfield projects.

Design and implement various programs to drive improvement initiatives, Behaviour-based Safety (BBS), and a Zero-Accident culture throughout the operations and Capacity expansion projects.

Work Focus

Project Safety Manager, will be responsible to establish and supervise safety & environmental policies and protocols, creating a safety-first culture across our bottling Plants in INSWA.

This role will encompass working closely with various project stakeholders, placing emphasis on "safety by design" principles. Collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and corporate engineering teams to incorporate advanced safety features and technologies will also be imperative to this role.

Analyse the project data and identify potential risks and trends, devising preventative measures for both greenfield and brownfield projects.

Validate Machine safety control measures and conduct routine audits and inspections during various stage of the Project such as layout finalization to line commercialization and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Need to collaborate with project execution teams to mentor and ensure external contractors abide by safety standards and protocols throughout the project lifecycle.

Investigation of the accidents and incidents, focusing on understanding their causes, preventing their recurrence, and ultimately reducing the company's exposure to risk.

This position requires staying informed about industry best practices and emerging safety technologies continuously to improve safety protocols within Coca-Cola bottling plants.

lend support to the progress of the Health and Safety (H&S) programs, assisting Bottling H&S Managers' efforts to implement global H&S methodology, standards, and requirements.

Digitization of the safety program such as contract management program with help of SafeGram (Mobile app-based solution), which includes elements like contractor prequalification, induction, and inspection & testing of tools & equipment, and E-work permits etc.

Coordinating and delivering safety training programs to employees about safety protocols, risk factors, and policies will be a key part of your role.

Organize a Project Safety Summit on an annual basis to share learning derived from Project Safety with plants and service suppliers.

External interactions:

  • Bottling Senior Leadership
  • Local Government Authorities for safety and environment compliance (as required).
  • Third parties service providers
  • Professional bodies / consultants to improve safety & environment management system.

Qualifications/ Experience:

Science or Engineering Graduate. Diploma or Degree in Industrial Safety from Regional Labor institute (RLI) or equivalent body in respective countries NEBOSH IGC certification

Working experience:

  • Minimum 6-8 years in manufacturing company & Projects in similar positions.
  • Should have knowledge of HIRA for safety and environment, Safety by design and safety governance and control.
  • Good knowledge of central and local Govt. regulatory requirement related to Environmental and Safety. Able to translate regulatory requirements into practical plan.
