- Udhyam Vyapaar which focuses on nano businesses in India, and solving large problems faced by them, at scale; has already enabled upto a 27% income uplift for 5000+ entrepreneurs.

About Entrepreneurial Mindset Program (ITIs and Schools):
At Udhyam we believe in the learning principles of student autonomy, “learning by doing” and “Real world experiences". What better way to build entrepreneurial mindsets than trying business projects hands on?
In Kerala, Udhyam has built a robust collaboration with the State ITI department to roll out our Project based curriculum across all ITIs in the state. The curriculum is designed to serve as a pre-incubation curriculum, which can lead to viable business projects that potentially get incubated into sustainable businesses. Our mission is to create a robust model which leads to incubation and entrepreneurship of ITI students and beyond. The curriculum has been designed based on the principles of Student Led Learning, where students are empowered to facilitate classrooms and navigate the entire learning journey with the guidance of their instructors, who play a mentoring role.
We are looking for a Project Interns for Kerala, who will be a part of the core team, work closely with the government partners and Udhyam’s internal teams to maximise reach and impact of the program in the State.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Operations: Collaborate with ITI officials to identify students who demonstrate interest and potential for the business. Conduct informational sessions to explain the opportunity and encourage participation for the expo and show case event. Identifying students who are already engaged in business and encouraging them to be part of the process. Implement a selection process involving applications, interviews, or skill assessments with the support from ITI officials. Conduct training program focusing on presentation skills, market analysis, product/service demonstration, etc. Coordinate logistics including venue selection, scheduling, and resource allocation for the district and state level expo.
- Stakeholder Management: Work with multiple stakeholders and build strong working relationships across government officials, partner organisations, resource persons, school principals and teachers.
- Data Management: Collect implementation data and support in data based decisions
Skills, Experience & Mindsets:
- Must be willing to be based in Kerala and travel regularly within the state.
- Prior experience of working collaboratively with govt stakeholders on large scale programs is preferred. Experience in the Education sector is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malayalam.
- Accountable for the quality and timeliness of the outcomes achieved through the programs.
- Hands on, bias for action and willingness to pilot and experiment new models that can significantly enhance entrepreneurial footprint in the state.
- An independent thinker and problem solver, with the ability to navigate uncertainty
- Comfortable with MS Office
