Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Costing / Estimation Engineer to join our team at DCS Group. As a Project Costing / Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the project costs, preparing detailed project proposals, and ensuring projects are completed within budget. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The job location is Vadodara, Gujarat, India. This is a full-time position.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Costing / Estimation Engineer, with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of HT/LT panels, trays, and other electrical components.
- Strong understanding of Project Costing and estimation techniques.
- Proficiency in preparing bill of quantities (BOQ) and quotations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to study project documents and specifications in detail.
- Familiarity with electrical project management processes and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accurately estimate the costs of electrical projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare detailed project proposals, including bill of quantities (BOQ) and quotations.
- Study project documents and specifications to understand the scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine project feasibility and cost-effective solutions.
- Identify potential risks and factors that may affect the project costs.
- Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are completed within the allocated budget.
- Prepare cost reports and provide regular updates to the project team and management.
- Conduct post-project cost analysis to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
