You will be working as Production Development Engineer and will be part of Electrification business Area for Smart Buildings division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for optimizing the production organization's assembly methods, processes and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety

Your responsibilities

• Managing the product development life cycle aesthetic to product launch in market
• Designing modification in existing product as per customer requirement
• Planning and prioritizing good understanding of customer expectation and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure or cost of poor quality
• Spreading awareness of manufacturing processes for switchgear components
• Achieving product target cost and awareness of better material utilization
• Processing audit, modifying and evaluating the existing process design for improvement

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience Design and development of wiring accessories products
• Hands-on experience of working with CAD 2D/3D packages ( Creo. Auto-cad), SAP, Windchill
• Knowledge and experience of Lean manufacturing. Understanding of relevant IEC standards
• Ability to demonstrate success in driving projects to meet targets and deadlines
