Our client is a San Francisco Bay Area-based startup with an additional location in Pune, India. Funded by SF-based investors, the company is building AI-powered revenue-optimization platform which helps eCommerce brands drive top-line revenue growth and drive down costs by reducing revenue loss, leakages and missed revenue capture opportunities.
About the position:
The Product Owner/Manager will join the early-stage startup to drive the customer experience of a new category-creating and ground-breaking product in the Data Analytics space. The ideal candidate is a passionate, yet pragmatic thinker and maker, that can think broadly across platforms and domains, but then dive deep into the details.
He/She will be passionate about working strategically with executives and other senior leaders to create and deliver big, visionary, and customer-focused experience.
Key Role:
- Refine core problems that need to be solved from a customer perspective and research the problem statements internally as well as externally to define detailed end-to-end requirements. Ensure that experiential elements are designed with a customer-first mindset and utilizing analytics.
- Launching new products and features end-to-end, from research, planning, implementation, and launch to analysis and iteration (worked at a start-up / handled a project from scratch at a large company).
- Convert plans and requirements into on-time, quality releases working in tandem with the engineering team
- Monitor user engagement metrics, including core vitals, traffic, and engagement, Constantly scrutinize the online experience, ensuring that customer outcomes are met with the experiential elements. Utilize analytics to suggest improvements.
- Prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal direction, a sense of intellectual curiosity, humility, accountability, and positivity.
- Institute performance measurement for core product features that help improve the product.
Key Requirement:
- Engineering/CS degree and some experience writing software in the past
- Min 5 years of industry experience specifying, building, and supporting large-scale distributed analytics systems in production.
- Strong technical, and architectural understanding of analytics and SaaS products with a modern tech stack.
- Experience building data-heavy web applications, charting applications, and asynchronous data handling using REST APIs and experience with technologies like React, Redux, D3, etc.
- Ability to make smart features vs. time-to-market trade-offs by using data and metrics to back up assumptions, and assertions of business value.
- Write detailed product requirements (PRDs, Jira stories) that reduce iterations with engineering to build features
- Be able to improve agility and quality in the product-building process.
- Absolute alignment with the engineering team and leadership.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be extremely detail-oriented, especially in writing requirements that are ready for implementation.
