Role Summary

A Procurement Analyst plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of an organization's procurement process. This professional is responsible for analysing and optimizing the procurement lifecycle, from identifying potential suppliers to managing contracts and ensuring cost-effectiveness. The role requires a keen understanding of market trends, negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Supplier Evaluation:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and vendors.
• Evaluate and analyse supplier capabilities, pricing, and performance.
• Maintain a database of qualified suppliers and their product/service offerings.
• Cost Analysis and Negotiation: Analyse pricing proposals, terms, and conditions from suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms for the organization.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement expenses.

Contract Management:

• Develop and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts are comprehensive and legally sound.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Utilize analytical tools to assess procurement data and performance metrics.
• Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance procurement processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, and project management, to understand their procurement needs.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide procurement-related guidance.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess potential risks in the procurement process.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of the supply chain.
• Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with procurement software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
