Bunge has implemented a Shared Services Center in Mohali, India to support Global Operations in areas of Finance & Accounting, Trade Operations, Treasury and IT Support and other back office support Services


This position is responsible for timely and accurately entry of contracts into the system,
including amendments, physical issuance of the contracts and counterparty set in the system, serving Asia Pacific region contract admin activities for Bunge. This is an Individual contributor role with ultimate goal of building an efficient and self-reliant Contract admin team.


Main Accountabilities (List 6-8 major areas of responsibilities in order of importance, and purpose of these activities:


  • In-put of purchase and sale contracts and relevant amendments.
  • Creation of master data for new contractual counterparties.
  • Allocation of futures pricing, rolling of futures pricing and overfill / underfill pricing.
  • Issuance of contracts using Bunge standard terms
  • Review of third party issued contracts.
  • Produce and retain documentation in accordance with Company’s policies and procedure requirements.
  • Effective communication with all Internal and external stakeholders on day-to-day operational related matters.


Additional responsibilities:


  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Handle month end record reconciliation.
  • Timely & proper resolution of queries with a solution driven approach.
  • Identify and propose ways of process improvement as per Industry leading practices.
  • Work on CI related projects.
  • Provide all information, documents and reports for audit. Post the audit; take steps as per corrective and preventive action plan set by the Team Leader.
  • Provide guidance and support co-workers, knowledge sharing and best practices.


Impact/Dimensions

  • Responsible for creating bundle of rights and obligations “the contracts” for more than 7000 business confirmations, ensuring its legal enforceability with intact $ value. Flawless and timely entry of +45,000 transactions and targeting towards business KPI improvement by improving the lifecycle of contracts across value chains.

  • Timeline of entry of Contract (Purchase /Sales) into SAP. Baseline for best in Class TAT is 99%.
  • Accuracy of Contract entry (Purchase/Sales) into SAP. Baseline for best in Class Accuracy is 98%
  • Timeline for Contract issuance (from the date of receipt of Business confirmation to drafting and sending contract for signing). Baseline for best in Class TAT is 1 working day.
  • Overall Timeline contract issuance (from the date of receipt of Biz com to sending the signed copy to the Counterpart). Baseline for best in Class TAT is 3 working days.

This is an Individual contributor role and Management/Leadership skills are not mandated for this role. If someone carries leadership skills, would be an added advantage for the organization.


Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal):


This is a role that interacts with trading, legal, execution, controlling, accounting, finance, tech Support teams like IT, EDM and SAP team across Bunge Region along with interaction externally with Vendors, Customers and brokers.


Knowledge and Technical Competencies
(Identify knowledge and specific technical competencies to accomplish the desired end results. Some examples are licenses & certifications and knowledge and abilities):


  • Relevant experience in handling entry and issuance of commodity contracts for bulk and container shipments of Agri-commodities, with good knowledge of GAFTA, FOSFA contracts’ rules.
  • Good knowledge of concepts and procedures related to contract life cycle of commodity contracts and related terms & guidelines, including expertise in Incoterms, logistics and shipping documents.
  • Strong written & oral communications skills in English. Knowledge of any other foreign languages will be an added advantage
  • Computer proficient and competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in working with SAP system (Added Advantage)

Education/Experience

  • 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role or with International Commodity company.
  • Minimum Education Qualification – Graduation. Post-graduation would be an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in handling commodity contracts and knowledge of GAFTA, FOSFA contracts desirable.
