Job Title – Principal- Security Operations Center Responder
Detecting and Responding to Cyber Incidents
The Purpose of This Role
Fidelity’s Security Operations Center (SOC) is seeking a Cyber Security Responder. This is an opportunity to contribute to a highly visible Security Operations function with global impact upon Fidelity, its affiliates, business units, partners, and customers. While working as part of this team, the successful individual will provide first level support to cyber incident handling, analysis and response functions to detect, protect, respond, and sustain operations within cyberspace.

The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical / Behavioral
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Cybersecurity preferred.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Unix shell, javascript and/or Powershell
- Having Development background is a must since we work extensively in SOAR(Security orchestration, automation, and response)
- Prior SOC experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge or experience in handling Security Incidents is preferred but not required
- Fundamental knowledge of network and system technologies
- Demonstrate good customer service, written and oral communication.
- Have solid analytical/problem-solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems.
- Have strong self-management, work autonomy and use of own initiative.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle ambiguity and make decisions and recommendations with limited data.
The Skills that are Good to Have for this role
- A good understanding of security, web based and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of Intrusion Detection, various operating systems (Windows/UNIX), and web technologies (focusing on Internet security) is a plus
- Experience in SIEM, EDR, SOAR.
- Fundamental understanding of Attacker Lifecycle (Killchain)
- Experience in Proactively identifying ways to improve upon existing processes and methodologies
- Recommends and participates in the creation best practices, and roadmaps for productivity systems and technologies
- Experience in driving strategic direction (for technology)
- Quickly identifies patterns and creates solutions to eliminate recurring work
- Industry recognized certifications (CISSP, GCIH, Network+, CYSA+, etc) preferred.

Your work will support other business units in providing professional financial services to our clients. Your work will ensure SOC Threat Detection and Incident Response services are of the top industry standards to help position the firm as the best financial service provider among the competitors.
