6+ years of Data Management Experience
Understands database architectures, and data warehousing concepts
3-4 years or more experience in Power BI
Experience in Power BI Report Builder building pixel perfect reports
Ability to analyse data, and familiarity with data modelling, analysis, and visualization tools 2 - 3 years of DAX expressions experience
Data modelling experience a must If you can't create your own data models you are not a fit Tabular model experience
Star and snowflake schema design experience
Technical accomplishments in SQL, ETL, and data blending tools
Problem Solving Skills
Excellent communication and comprehension skills
Responsibilities
There is a heavy client facing aspect to this role and you will be a part of project based with one of the Big 5 banks in Canada
You have experience in mentoring team members on Power BI
You are a Power BI evangelist, with a passion for demonstrating the effectiveness of the Power BI tool
Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and architect a business-centric technical architecture
Reviews and reports on project metrics to benchmark effectiveness
Works closely with database administrators and developers to ensure that business models are accurately implemented in application systems
Provides education on the naming and modelling standards; assists with modelling specific constructs
Reviews project models to ensure adherence to standards
Ensures data quality alignment
Nice to have
Familiarity with AWS Aurora DB/ Postgres SQL is an asset
Understanding of table structure, fact and dimension tables, logical and physical database design, data modelling, reporting process metadata, and ETL processes.
Understand the benefits of data warehousing, data architecture, data quality processes, and warehousing design and implementation.
