AddressDirect tax
- Review of monthly tax returns/payments, advance tax and ITR calculations, supervising tax audit and other direct tax related compliances
- Complete handling of assessment/appeal proceedings along with tax consultants, follow through on requirements, submissions to department and recording of communications.
- Overseeing required compliances with respect to foreign payments
- Liaising with consultants for Transfer pricing compliances, wherever applicable
- Review of all RPT disclosures in financials during statutory audits
- Exposure to financial industry taxation - funds, AIF, family office, etc.
Indirect taxes
- Review of tax payments, GST returns and audit report submission.
- Review of compliance status as per each state
Others
- Update and ensure that tax requirements (SOP) for each business transaction are understood and informed to the transaction team for compliance.
- Developing strong internal controls and processes around tax workings and compliances in discussion with Finance Controller/ Finance Director
- Regular test checks basis ABC analysis to ensure there are no breakdowns in the process leading to tax exposure. Ownership of statutory and internal audit processes relating to tax compliance.
- Timely update of any changes in Tax Laws effecting our business and guide people about the working of same
- Working closely with IT team on incorporation of various updates in accounting software, if required, to comply with relevant notifications/ rules as and when applicable.
