Pharmacy Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer customer inquiries, both in person and over the phone.
Provide information about over-the-counter medications and products.

Prescription Processing:Receive and record prescription orders from customers and healthcare professionals.
Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy's computer system.
Prepare prescription labels and medication packaging.

Medication Dispensing:Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Label and package medications as per standard procedures.
Handle prescription refills and maintain appropriate records.

Inventory Management:Maintain and organize the pharmacy's inventory, including over-the-counter products, prescription medications, and supplies.
Assist with restocking and ordering medications as needed.

Administrative Tasks:Perform administrative duties such as filing, record-keeping, and data entry.
Process insurance claims and handle billing issues.
Help manage the pharmacy's paperwork and documentation.

Patient Assistance:Educate patients on the proper use of medications, including dosage, potential side effects, and storage instructions.
Address patient questions and concerns or direct them to the pharmacist as needed.

Compliance and Safety:Adhere to pharmacy regulations and policies to ensure the safety and confidentiality of patient information.
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Team Collaboration:Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
Assist in training new Pharmacy Assistants as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From ₹10,000.00 per month
