Overview
- Develop and implement Performance Test strategies, plans, and test cases.
- Execute Performance Tests to assess system behavior under various load conditions.
- Identify and analyze performance bottlenecks, resource utilization, and system limitations.
- Utilize industry-standard Performance Testing tools such as LoadRunner, to simulate real-world scenarios and measure system performance.
- Stay abreast of emerging Performance Testing tools and technologies to enhance testing capabilities.
- Collaborate with development, quality engineering, and system operations teams to understand application architecture and performance requirements.
- Work closely with developers to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
- Generate comprehensive Performance Test reports with actionable insights.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements based on test results and analysis.
- Conduct scalability testing to ensure the system can handle increased loads as the user base grows.
- Work on capacity planning to anticipate future performance needs.
- Implement automated Performance Testing scripts to streamline the testing process and provide continuous monitoring of system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (4 years) as a Performance Test Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Performance Testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner) and methodologies.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies including CI and Azure DevOps
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Certification in Performance Testing (e.g., ISTQB Performance Testing Certification).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
