- Conducting patent search projects with the quality and timeliness expected.
- Understanding invention or patent descriptions by applying technical knowledge and experience
- Do searches of patent and non-patent literature to make reports on technology landscapes, patentability, freedom to operate, validity/invalidity, and infringement.
- Patent and non-patent literature analysis for the aforementioned reasons.
- Claims mapping, portfolio analysis, patent categorization, etc., entails analysing patent claims and descriptions.
- Technical comprehension of the disclosure of the invention and identification of search focus.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyse patent documents and other papers, journals, and articles that are not patent-related.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills when making and running search strings for patent searches.
- Capabilities for analysing results and producing a search report in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills along with presentation abilities.
- Being self-motivated, taking responsibility, and being able to finish tasks on time are all important.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Excellent knowledge of major jurisdictions' patent laws, patent databases, and technical domains.
- Prior patent search and analytics experience would be preferred.
- Substantial familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Word, and additional web-based applications.
