Brief about Aseema: Aseema Charitable Trust is a Mumbai based non-governmental organization with a mission to equip children from marginalized communities with high quality, value based education enabling development of their limitless potential. It works in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and is currently running three MCGM schools – The Pali Chimbai Municipal School and Pereira Wadi Municipal in Bandra (West) and The Kherwadi Municipal School in Bandra (East).

In Igatpuri, Aseema works with very poor tribal children who live in the remote tribal village to provide them with quality education. Today we reach out to more than over 4400 students and besides the finest quality of education, we provide them with nutritious meals and also attend to their physical and mental well-being. Co-curricular activities like sports, art, music, dance, judo and yoga are carried out in all our schools so that the children receive a well-rounded and holistic education. We also cater to over 900 alumni who are studying at Universities and also assist them with securing employment. Aseema’s training team woks with low-income schools in Kanpur and Lucknow and trains teachers there on Aseema’s education approach.

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. To prepare innovative lesson plans and teaching aids on time.
2. To monitor the progress of children by correcting books and assignments regularly.
3. To maintain close links with co-curricular teachers and to coordinate with Social Worker and Counselor for the children’s requirements.
4. To actively participate in the Parents meeting and provide feedback on the progress of the child to the parents.
5. To complete administrative responsibilities assigned on time.
6. To give equal attention to children of different abilities in the class.
7. To be attentive and observant of the children’s needs.
8. To motivate and enthuse the children.
9. To communicate with children in a respectful and positive manner.
10. To be flexible, open to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities.

Required Qualification, Skills and Experience:

  • Garduate / Post Graduate with B.Ed. in English and Social Studies.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience with the Secondary section.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Well versed with recent technologies and applications for Online Teaching.
  • Candidates residing in Mumbai only should apply.
