Job Description
Job Profile Staff Nurses OHC
- He / She will maintain proper discipline of the centre, recording vitals. (TPR, BP & Pain Score) and act as counsellor to the employee visiting medical room.
- He / She will assist the doctor while attending the patients / performing any procedure, dispense medicines and carry out treatment instructions as per prescription issued by the doctors such as giving injections, I / V infusion etc.
- He / She will also do Random blood Sugar, Oxygen inhalation therapy, dressings and assist in cut open, applying splints, stitching etc.
- He / She will dispense OTC medicines to the patients if considered necessary keeping in mind their side effects and safety of the patients.
- He / She will ensure readiness of emergency bag & ambulance and maintenance of all medical equipment’s at all times to meet out any emergent situation promptly.
- He / She will help in shifting the patients to higher centres and co-ordinate with authorities of the hospital for admission, treatment and enquiring the progress of the patients.
- He / She will prepare requisition indents for medical room and send them to stores / purchase department for supply / procurement.
- He / She will be responsible for maintaining inventory of all supplies to the medical room & will be responsible for checking the expiry date of the medicines etc in stock as well as in use and return back the near expiry (three months) items to main store of the hospital/medical store.
- He / She will also check for visible turbidity, external matters, and fungal growth etc in fluids before injecting them. { Administration of Injectable are not allowed in absence of doctors}
- He / She will be responsible for maintaining log book for registration of all patients visiting medical room and record of all major emergencies and referral of all patients to higher centres separately
- He / She will assist in preparing daily, monthly or any other report as per instructions of centre in charge as required by our hospital / management of the corporate.
- He / She will maintain record of biomedical waste disposal as per policy.
- He / She will be part of Medical Preparedness team & should be actively participating in mock drills as & when organized by the corporate.
- He / She will prepare & maintain emergency bags for medical room and ambulance with lifesaving medicine, IV fluids & consumables with weekly self-audit & replacement of medicine if consumed.
- He / She will help Team Leader / Operation manager / Human Resource in preparing attendance for processing salary.
