Job Description: Officer-Thematic Grant Proposal

Engrace Foundation is a section 8 company registered under the companies Act 2013 under Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. Of India. Being an emerging social development entity this working with NGOs/Trusts/Institutions on program capacity development, CSR funding, consultancy etc. In a short span of time it has partnered with more than 20 NGOs from various states from India working for their funding needs and looking to expand all across India. Engrace Foundation is based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and looking for a suitable candidate for it’s expansion objective.

Position: Officer-Thematic Grant Proposal

Place of posting: Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Reporting to: TL-Program & CSR Partnership

Purpose of the position: The purpose of the position is to develop the thematic proposals for the organization as well as in expanding it’s network with clients organization, corporate and Government agencies. The person selected will be working on one of the thematic sector program and partnering domain. The TL will guide, mentor and assign duties to the officer.. The linkages between NGOs/CSOs at ground and the corporate sector at the upper hand need to be matched for funding needs as well for fund generation activities. There is going to be a specific target on achieving both goals of developing partnerships, writing concept note, proposals, budgets as well as raising resources from CSR, grant funding as well as allocation of resources for grassroots NGOs. So, the person will have a dynamic role to play in the organization to scale up it’s grant programs.

The Roles & responsibilities:

1. Working on new proposal development as per thematic suitability. Guiding the organization point person on choosing the particular theme for the proposal, helping in baseline analysis.

2. Explaining on the particular theme and convincing the client ton a particular theme as appropriate.

3. Handling queries on partnership development with prospective organizations/institutions. Developing a client base and networking.

4. Contacting corporate, foundations and donor agencies on CSR funding opportunities and doing back and forth follow-ups for the fundraising activities.

5. Working on RFP, BID, grant portals on proposal submission and grant applications.

6. Working on follow up, due diligence processes on grant applications submitted for NGOs/Trusts/Societies at the grassroots level.

7. Being part of the team need to do the assessment, baseline survey, mid-term evaluation, monitoring and final evaluation of existing programs.

8. Supporting the TL in writing reports, Grant Proposals, concept notes and working on budgeting. Presenting the organization and it’s work in various forums.

9. Supporting the team in handling partner queries and official visits on CSR funding, project proposal and consultations.

10. Accompanying during the filed visits and monitoring activities at the partner organization program areas

11. Record maintenance of program progress and updates regularly

12. Any other relevant task as required

The ideal candidate should be:

1. MSW/MPH/MA in Sociology/Gender Studies/Agriculture/Environment Studies/ B.Ed/MEd etc. And having basic knowledge on a particular thematic area, I.e Education, livelihood, health or gender studies etc.

2. At least 2-3 years of experience. Good understanding about social sector as well as knowledge on CSR, fundraising, partnerships, national and international grants.

3. Has competency and interest on research and evaluations works and is well acquainted on SDGs.

4. Target oriented and an achiever.

5. Good knowledge of both English and Hindi

6. Has excellent communication and presentation skill.

7. Motivated, enthusiastic, team player, having pleasant personality and flexibility in approach.

8. Quick to learn and help others in the team to adapt the new learning.

9. Well versed in computer applications, I.e MS word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.

10. Candidate must be willing to relocate to Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Salary: INR 2.5 lakhs-6 lakhs per annum on achieving good results. Provident Fund, ESI and other benefits on upon successful completion of probation of 6 months.
