MEDICAL AFFAIRS

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and segment KEEs according to their scientific interest and related affiliations, develop the KEE engagement plan by collaborating with the regional teams in alignment with the institutional business strategy., and
  • Build the KEE network & advocacy at government organizations, patient support groups & government institutes with constant scientific interaction & engagement.
  • Represent AZ at various Govt inst. Including state health dept and bureaucrats.
  • 75% of time in field is required for engagement with these priority HCPs and key external stakeholders.
  • Interact & Engage with Medical Associations, Societies & patient support groups, drive change in organizational clinical practice protocols in a highly credible, balanced/objective way, representing AZ's dedication to excel in science.
  • Collaborate locally with the regional & Corporate Affairs teams to identify the need gaps in cancer management and support in finding solutions in these accounts.
  • Support & execute key initiatives in collaboration with the Innovations team.
  • Support in creation of value dossiers for all approved indications and support the cross functional team to ensure inclusion of our approved indications/products into the respective institutional management protocol.
  • Provide support to the clinical studies, real world data generation and global clinical trials. on clinical site identification and patient recruitment.
  • Prepare and give relevant high level medical science presentationsat congresses, symposia and scientific meetings driven by these institutes.
  • Help to develop medical science literature, i.e., write, edit and publish scientific articles and papers.
  • Respond to unsolicited stakeholder inquiries and provide focused, balanced and objective clinical / scientific information that supports the safe and appropriate use of AstraZeneca’s currently available products, including questions regarding off-label uses, and products under development, when appropriate to do so
  • Support the institutional teamwith medicalscience information (e.g., disease and treatment) and training
  • Effectively gather, analyze, synthesize and forward relevant new knowledge and meaningful insights about practices & management protocols at these accounts to internal colleagues
  • Ensure understanding of the AZ Global MSL Guide, AZ Code of Ethics, External Interactions Policy and Standards, and Publications Policy along with relevant local industry codes of conduct

Eligibility

MBBS+MD-Pharmacology

  • Minimum 2-3 Years Exp - Grade – E [MSL/MAM]
  • Versatile and excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and able to interact with Important stakeholders in Public channel including Govt officials and state bureaucrats.
  • Start off with Oncology and scale up to entire Org portfolio establishing scientific leadership in Public channel.
