NxtQube, a pioneering startup in Nashik, is in search of a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer specializing in Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the end-to-end cycle of procurement, New Product Development (NPD) on the manufacturing side, and managing the assembly line for our innovative drone docking station project.
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Management:
   - Source and procure custom machining components for the drone docking station project.
   - Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery considerations.
   - Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms.
2. New Product Development (NPD):
   - Collaborate with the design team to seamlessly integrate new components into the manufacturing process.
   - Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions.
   - Ensure that NPD projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Supply Chain Setup:
   - Establish and optimize the Supply Chain for the drone docking station, ensuring a smooth flow of materials from suppliers to the manufacturing facility.
   - Implement strategies to mitigate Supply Chain risks and ensure a reliable source of components.
4. Assembly Line Management:
   - Oversee the assembly line and coordinate activities to meet production schedules.
   - Implement efficiency improvements and process optimizations to enhance productivity.
   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any production-related issues.
5. Quality Assurance:
   - Work closely with suppliers to maintain and improve product quality.
   - Implement quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (1 year) in Project Engineering with a focus on manufacturing and Supply Chain management.
3. Strong understanding of procurement processes and experience in negotiating supplier contracts.
4. Knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) principles and experience in transitioning products from design to manufacturing.
5. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to relocate to Nashik.
- Experience in the aerospace or drone industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
