Responsibilities
- Design and development of interiors parts of the train using Catia V5 and DMA, taking into consideration inputs such as weight, acoustics, eco design, strength requirments e.t.c
- Deploys and applies on project Train Design development procedures, catalogue and standard solutions
- Optimizes the parts design to reach recurring and non-recurring costs targets and ensure the committed planning
- Works with external engineering sub-contractors and with site CAD engineers.
- Checks digital mock-up consistency (no interferences, equipments localisation and volume, interfaces...)
- Should support Lead Engineer on design reviews by preparing necessary techincal documents
Educational Requirements & Experience
- Engineer educational background
- Has already worked with suppliers
- 6 to 8 years experience in design of mechanical parts
Competencies & Skills
- Excellent skills in CATIA V5
- Better if knowledge of DMA
- Ability to prioritize and to work effectively under pressure to meet the deadline.
- Able to work in an international environment and matrix organization structure
- Good written and spoken communication skills (at least in English).
