Mechanical Design Draftsperson

OMS Engineering have an exciting opportunity for an experienced  Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join as a subcontractor/direct employment with OMS Engineering team on a fulltime basis.  The role will be based in Bangalore/Mysore (India) with the opportunity to travel to Australia for short term work assignments. Salary Package per Annual: 20,00000 Lakhs. Pre-requisites To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:   Proficiency with hands-on design and drafting with >5 years full time equivalent experience working with Autodesk Inventor at expert level. Demonstrated experience in managing design/CAD teams including planning, quoting and delivering packages of work as well as mentoring junior drafters. Demonstrated experience in remotely collaborating with design teams and clients. Proficiency in oral and written communication in the English language   Initially in this role you will be responsible for: Remotely collaborating with engineers and other designers based in Australia to design mechanical and bulk materials handling equipment for the mining and manufacturing industries. Working with laser scan point clouds for design integration into brownfield plants. 2D technical drawing development in accordance with AS1100 and various client CAD standards. Implementing our quality management processes in accordance with our ISO9001 Quality Management System Performing any additional tasks as directed which are within your skill, qualification, and competence level. As the role develops you will be responsible for: Assisting in recruiting other design drafters into the team. Developing and establishing systems and processes to streamline the remote collaboration process. Managing the team to independently deliver packages of work. Ongoing technical mentoring for members of the team. Participating in education and mentoring programs in the local community   The following additional skills, qualifications and experience will be highly regarded: Mechanical or Structural engineering degree or diploma (or equivalent) Experience working with laser scan point clouds Proficiency with other packages in the Autodesk suite of CAD tools including AutoCad, ReCap, Navisworks and Advance steel, Experience in drafting in accordance with Australian Standards AS1100 and/or specific major Australian clients CAD standards.   What we offer you: Excellent remuneration, conditions, and benefits   OMS Vision OMS engineering currently offers bespoke mechanical engineering consulting services in the Illawarra Region of New South Wales Australia.
