Purpose of the Job:
The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Master Data process and day-to-day operations across APAC entities. This encompasses daily request management, ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly with accurate, complete, consistent, and valid Master Data, including setup, maintenance, and approval. Additionally, the Specialist supports Master Data initiatives as required by the business, including special projects and ERP implementations/upgrades, ensuring total data quality through collaboration with multiple end-to-end teams—Project team, SAP Team, IT, and Global process owners across various business lines. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring data quality, compliance, and usability to support informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

Description of main tasks:
The Incumbent is responsible for the following tasks:
- Data Maintenance: Create, update, and maintain Master Data records in accordance with established guidelines, including customer data, product information, vendor details, and other critical business data in ERP system
- Data Governance: support in developing and enforcing data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular data quality checks and audits to identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplications, and errors. Implement data cleansing and enrichment processes as necessary, including mass changes.
- Data Documentation: Actively contribute to further develop standards, processes, procedures, overall data governance. As needed, create, and formalize processes such as work instructions and process flows to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, marketing, and operations, to understand their data requirements and ensure that Master Data supports their needs.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve data-related issues, discrepancies, and anomalies, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify root causes and implement preventive measures
- Data Reporting: Generate and distribute reports and metrics on data quality and compliance to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement approach:
- Identify opportunities to improve service proposition, areas where compliance input and escalation is required to ensure consistency in the application of criteria across Armacell, Analyse root causes and resolve issues
- Actively contribute to further develop standards, processes, procedures, overall data governance. As needed, create, and formalize processes such as work instructions and process flows to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.

Job Specifications
Professional Education
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
Professional Experience (how long)?
- 2 – 3 years
- Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data governance frameworks
- Experience working with SAP,
- Experience working with mass data management tools, data modeling tools, highly preferred
- Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Words, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Able to work in APAC region is beneficial. * (for APAC)
