Celebrity chef Makoto Okuwa is adding Colorado to his lengthy culinary profile.
Okuwa, who has made several appearances on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” with his mentor Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, is opening his first Colorado restaurant, Makoto Vail, at the Grand Hyatt Vail for the upcoming 2023-24 ski season.
The Line Cook prepares food to order according to our recipes, procedures, quality expectations and speed levels. The rate of pay for this position is $18.00/hour. The start date of this position is scheduled for early/mid December.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Maintains stock (restocks) cleans & organizes work area.
· Prepares food according to procedures and standards; within allowable time guidelines. Responds to all guests’ special requests.
· Safely operates equipment (determined by position).
· Practices proper & safe food handling, storage, receiving, stocking & rotating procedures
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Food items are prepared for guests according to our standards of quality, consistency and time lines and in doing so all cleanliness, sanitation and safety standards are maintained. This in turn will continue to create new business and avoid guest complaints.Why Work at Hyatt?
