Mainframe Storage Administrator - 5 to 10 years of experience - Bangalore/Chennai/Pune

About the Team

We provide support for IBM Mainframe Storage for diverse internal and commercial customers, both onshore and offshore.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide technical support for a production mainframe environment, including multiple LPARs, CECs, DASD, and VTS controllers.
• Analyze and resolve incidents, tasks, changes, DR tests, and projects.
• Assist programming and development staff in analyzing application job abends, performance, and resource consumption.
• Collaborate with the team, represent MF changes, participate in daily operations reviews, and attend client-customer meetings.
• Perform daily MF storage health checks and participate in proactive issue avoidance.
• Plan and implement business continuity support during environmental crises.
• Mentor and assess technical skills of L1, L2, and L3 resources.
• Build knowledge base articles.
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors to solve problems.
• Create and maintain documentation related to storage and productivity tools.
• Provide 24x7 on-call and ad-hoc support, and handle different issue severities.

What You Bring

• Good knowledge of MF IBM DASD and VTS.
• Familiarity with z/OS utilities.

• Readiness to work in shifts and take rotational on-call duties.
