Loan Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Consultation and Counseling:
- Provide personalized financial counseling to students and families regarding education loan options, eligibility criteria, and repayment strategies.
- Assist borrowers in understanding the terms and conditions of various loan programs, including federal, private, and alternative financing options.
- Address inquiries related to loan application procedures, documentation requirements, and disbursement timelines.
- Loan Origination and Processing:
- Review loan applications and assess borrowers' creditworthiness based on established criteria and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, such as academic institutions, lenders, and guarantors, to facilitate the loan origination process.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of loan applications, including verification of student enrollment status and financial aid eligibility.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and educational institutions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of loan transactions, borrower communications, and compliance activities in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports on loan portfolio performance, delinquency rates, and borrower demographics for internal analysis and regulatory reporting purposes.
- Prepare documentation for audits, examinations, and program reviews conducted by regulatory agencies or accrediting bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in student financial aid administration, higher education administration, or financial services, with a focus on student lending preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal and private student loan programs, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Knowledge of loan origination systems (LOS), customer relationship management (CRM) software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
