Lead System Designer

As a Lead System Designer you will be responsible for the overall technical leadership, for realization of features and systems release and their life cycle management. You will be responsible for DXR R&D group which is a global organization organized by product tiers & platforms. Each product tier is composed of various products & solutions. The DXR R&D is located primarily in Pune but is responsible for the R&D activity done globally.

Your role:

  • Overall technical leadership and responsible for realization of full systems product release/life cycle management to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Translation of user and business requirements into product requirements, high level product design, check and optimize integration and verification
  • System decomposition and allocation of derived requirements down to HW/SW element and part level and related traceability.
  • Trade-off of product/system design specifications and interfaces, determine feasibility of potential solutions, and leading technical & design reviews.
  • Ensuring full Product Safety Risk Management in a regulation compliant manner.
  • Plan, oversee and execute the system engineering activities including initiation, coordination, synchronization, review and integration of the technical work
  • Lead and technical escort the development effort as the key technical stakeholder of the project to meet the functionality, safety, serviceability, quality, cost and reliability targets.
  • Prepare the technical documentations to meet the high standard required for a medical device.
  • Lead cross-discipline feasibility, tradeoff studies and problem solving.
  • Investigate data of deployed systems to identify functionality, safety, serviceability, quality or reliability failures of the HW/SW platform that the Digital X-Ray and Fluoroscopy products are based upon.
  • Managing complexity of products or systems in multi-disciplinary setting, within scope of a single business.
  • Leads and influences others and drives design for quality and is closely involved in the program of the applicable business.
  • Makes a fundamental contribution to the innovation of products or processes.
  • Solves fundamental problems on the basis of thorough (unique) knowledge in the professional field.
  • Solves technical problems that have never been encountered previously in the organization.
  • Generates initiatives with regard to technological improvements, and performs future-oriented studies in dialogue with other specialists.
  • Makes substantial contribution to the innovation process and communicates new insights to own business.

You're the right fit if:

  • BTECH/ MTECH in Electrical Engineering/Physics/other relevant degree.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a System engineer
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in a medical company- Advantage
