Beckman Coulter is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, CDS Solutions, based at Danaher’s India Development Center (IDC), at state-of-the-art facility in Bangalore. IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 650+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems,   Leica Microsystems, HemoCue,  SCIEX and Cepheid.  The IDC workforce is comprised of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for Clinical Decision Support, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.

Role Description

As the Lead Software Engineer in DevSecOps, CDS Solutions, you will be responsible for advancing new product development as part of a collaborative engineering team for the CDS Solutions business.  In this role, reporting to Senior Manager, CDS Solutions, you will work with DevOps team with the primary responsibility to work on Infrastructure building and maintenance and work on privacy and security (P&S) design, implementation & management of medical device software and cloud-based solutions. The incumbent is required to be a champion in DevOps activities bringing the standard methodologies and practices along with cloud-based privacy and security implementation.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop threat models and mitigations to vulnerabilities, application security design specifications and testing.
• Create, automate, and maintain the application and infrastructure provisioning process, especially in Azure cloud with high hands-on knowledge of Azure Kubernetes
• Work on proof-of-concepts for new cloud security technologies and review risk assessment documentation defined in privacy & security standards.
• Penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, source code scanning on medical device software and cloud-based products across multiple global R&D centers
• Participate in investigations related to Privacy/Security incidents and response activities.
• Participate in cybersecurity compliance audits, review of products, definition, documentation, and evolution of standard practices & procedures.
• Setup & supervise the effective usage Azure cloud services and report to team with the well-developed dashboard.
• Provide support to the development team in Infrastructure issues, provision CI/CD pipeline for deployment also govern the required configurations/access levels.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps/other global team to implement security tools and automation of associate tasks. 
• Participate in cybersecurity compliance audits, review of products, definition, documentation, and evolution of standard practices & procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Engineering or master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Software Engineering roles and hands on in DevSecOps activities.
• Experience in Azure DevOps Services/Server and prior experience in VSTS or older TFS versions or GIT.
• Experience developing SaaS solutions, integrating with APIs, and working with popular cloud technologies such as AWS, MS Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Significant experience working with agile software development methods, such as scrum and Kanban and exposure to working within CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in common security tools and implementation (for example: Metasploit, Nexpose, Nessus, burpsuite, nmap, netcat,  hping3). Also, implementation of static code analyzer (for example: checkmarx, Varacode, SonarQube)
• Knowledge of cryptography technologies, networking security, analyzing the open-source solutions assessments and PKI.
• Knowledgeable in working with Security modules like Encryption, Authentication, Authorization and associated security configuration – Azure (preferred)/AWS.
• Excellent knowledge of Information Security standards, frameworks, and best practices for large corporate environments.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to build trust
• Results oriented with focused urgency, prioritization skills and ability to recognize/escalate issues appropriately
• Can comprehend product specifications, architectural and high-level design, functional specifications.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple departments, countries, and time zones
• Self-motivated to complete tasks timely with competence; driven to self-educate and improve processes
• Ability to work effectively across multiple departments, countries, and time zones. Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Managing information security in a medical devices manufacturing environment is preferred.
• SOX, HIPAA, FDA, Safe Harbor, GDPR and other international or local security and privacy governance is preferred.
• Docker/Kubernetes privacy & security. Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CCSP, CEH, GIAC, CISA experience is a plus.
