Junior Designer Cum Production Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Junior Designer cum Production Manager for our jewellery brand. This role requires a combination of creative flair and operational proficiency to oversee the design process as well as manage production operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience in the jewellery industry, possessing a keen eye for design aesthetics, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Development:
Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and appealing jewellery designs that align with brand aesthetics and market trends.
Create detailed sketches, renderings, and drawings to communicate design concepts effectively.
Conduct research on market trends, materials, and techniques to inform design decisions and maintain competitiveness.
2. Production Management:
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and artisans to ensure timely production of jewellery pieces while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor production schedules, track inventory levels, and manage procurement of materials to meet demand requirements.
Implement efficient production processes and identify opportunities for optimization to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
3. Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough quality checks at various stages of production to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Address any issues related to product quality or manufacturing processes promptly, collaborating with relevant teams to implement corrective measures.
4. Team Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and sales to align production activities with business objectives.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure clarity of project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
5. Creativity and Innovation:
Bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to design challenges, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Jewellery Design, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in design and production management, preferably within the luxury or fashion industry.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) is preferred
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
A passion for creativity and a keen eye for detail, with a demonstrated ability to translate conceptual ideas into tangible designs.
