Junior Accountant Profile - E-commerce Business

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing sales and purchase entries, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of our rapidly growing e-commerce business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and Purchase Entries:
• Record daily sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Manage purchase entries, verifying invoices and matching them with purchase orders.
• Maintain a systematic filing system for sales and purchase documents.
• Data Entry:
• Efficiently input financial data into accounting software.
• Update and maintain product and pricing information in the system.
• Perform regular audits of data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• Bank Reconciliation:
• Reconcile bank statements with recorded transactions.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Generate regular reports on sales, expenses, and profitability.
• Adherence to Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an e-commerce setting.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.

Skills and Abilities:

• Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Analytical Skills: Capacity to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, especially when collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with the finance team, inventory management, and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
