The overall purpose of an IT Business Partner is to focus on continually improving and maintaining the value of IT to the business.
Business Partnering brings a consistent context of IT to the business, and allows business teams/departments to engage IT on their own terms and within their own framework. It helps the business to understand what value IT brings to their operation, as well as helping IT understand how it can best deliver services and not just be a Technology provider.
By building a trusted reputation, the IT Business Partner presents a sustainable and reliable delivery model for IT, moving away from a fire-fighting and reactive entity to a team that is flexible and responsive.
To commit to ongoing value provision, IT services are continually shaped by the particular business segment organization, requirements and their strategies.
This position is for an IT Business Partner supporting STS/IS in Chennai and Bangalore. Detailed responsibilities are:
- Develop and manage relationships as the point of contact for site-based leadership.
- Facilitate the best IT solutions and service delivery in conjunction with what the business really needs to enable the best execution of delivery to KBR's clients.
- Determines the IT requirements for the Business Development proposals to offer the most competitive bids.
- Examining existing processes with a view to encourage and enable continuous service improvement.
- Escalation if Incidents/Problems as appropriate.
