Role Description

You will be joining Foundational Platforms team within Cloud and Platform/CTO. The team is responsible for engineering of ServiceNow platform that runs bank's ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, Service Request and others) which is the second most used application within the Bank. 

You will have an opportunity to design and implement solutions used by tens of thousands of users across the world. We are a global team and you will work with the best ServiceNow Engineers, Architects and Business Analysts within the teams spanning three locations (UK, US and India). 

The Solution Architect Lead is a key member of the Foundational Platforms team and is responsible for the overall design of the ServiceNow Platform, mapping client business requirements from the project team to systems/technical requirements. Responsibilities include lead a best in class Solution Architects and supporting the successful implementation of ServiceNow solutions, configuring & customizing solutions, architecting & designing solutions, and providing technical consulting on complex initiatives. Additionally, to Support migrations, mentor staff, and design integrations.

Your key responsibilities

• Participate in demand review process along with the Product Manager.
• Share best practices and be consultative throughout the technical design of the project, maintaining implementation best practices throughout the delivery lifecycle and pro-actively challenge others to ensure high quality technical solutions.
• Define and own the Platform Architecture Principles, Rationale and Policies and keep them upto date aligned to the Group Architecture Enterprise Architecture.
• Architecture Standard and guidelines around ServiceNow Platform.
• Establish and enforce systems design and architectural standards through communication, documentation, and metrics.
• *Chair the Technical Governance Board to governance on internal and federated teams.
• ServiceNow platform in-depth knowledge is required.
• Extensive hand on with ServiceNow platform and its development.
• Defining and documenting the standards for how the professional discipline operates 
• Training and educating the chapter (and others where helpful) on these standards 
• Providing oversight and measuring how well those standards are adopted 
• Developing the professional growth of the discipline (e.g. measuring improvements and maturity) 
• Line manager responsibility for all resources within Architecture chapter, ensuring clear development and career paths, succession planning, and hiring of resources.

Your skills and experience

• Total IT experience of over 15 years and out of which over 8 years of working experience working in ServiceNow
• Strong ServiceNow development skills
• Strong Service design skills - providing solution to complex requirements in Service - demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in this.
• Have mentored a architecture team of more than 5 members and helping them solving critical, complex and providing timely solutions
• Strong domain understanding in ServiceNow modules like ITSM, IRM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, CSDM, etc.
• Strong ServiceNow integration skills
• Have worked on ServiceNow automated testing
• Have owned and completed at least 2 ServiceNow upgrades
• Have worked on at least 1 ServiceNow green field implementation.
• Strong communication and influential skills while explaining and implementing a solution
• Experience working in Agile environment using SCRUM methodology. Any SCRUM master experience is beneficial. 
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving experience, ability to multi-task and effectively manage priorities 
• Consulting experience will be an added advantage
• Experience on strategy and product road map will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to work effectively in virtual teams across multiple locations
