Position Title: IT Analyst Applications ( Factory Integration and Support Analyst)

Location: Thiruvallur -India

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Factory Integration and Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to ensure the high availability of IT services that enable the manufacturing of customer products. This role will work with process experts to understand the required system changes and coordinate their implementation to meet production goals. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and with a cooperative team on introducing new IT solutions that improve business process efficiency. 

Job Duties

Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to:

• Work with internal business partners to diagnose and solve problems
• Individuals should demonstrate innovative qualities to explore new technologies, which improve the efficiency of the factory environment.
• Must be able to configure and troubleshoot issues regarding desktops, workstations, and laptops.
• Must understand Microsoft Office Suite and be able to Install/Configure applications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time as well as well as being a collaborative team member
• Ability to document  business requirements and convert  into IT requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and other cross functional teams  for support and deployment
• Availability to work off-shift when needed for systems changes or be on a call rotation to provide support should any systems be down on an evening or weekends.
• Job requires extensive active movement throughout plant including but limited to Climbing stairs and steps, lifting of devices and pushing and pulling of equipment

Bcakground/Experience

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following selection criteria :

• 6 to 8 Years of Experience in Manufacturing application implementation and Support
• Computer-related or Engineering-related four years College or University Degree;
• 1-3 years of large, multi-tier architecture application support/rt experiences;
• Understand manufacturing process and can collaborate with manufacturing business partners;
• Experience in supporting SAP ERP system
• Experience in implementation and Support of manufacturing applications
• Understanding of application integrations to create end to end process flows
• Ability to quickly learn new IT Solutions to provide support
• Basic knowledge on SQL Programming and Database;
• Basic knowledge on Server and Network;
• Basic knowledge on PLC and Automation Technology ;
• Knowledge on PC support;
• Strong communication and Interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge on IT Service Management and ITIL based support processes (Incident Management, Change Management Problem management)
• General Networking skills, such as TCPIP settings on a PC, Cat6 Wiring, knowledge of how VPN and Routers work.

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following business processes :

• Strong business acumen on Manufacturing;
• Strong technical skills on Oracle or Linux;
• Experience on Digital / Smart Manufacturing;
• Knowledge of Cisco network hardware and software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
• Knowledge of Scanners and their operation in a factory environment
• Knowledge of mobile phone devices such as Apple, and Android Phone and etc.
• Working knowledge of iPad and Windows Tablet and working within a Business network.
• Experience with manufacturing applications like Thingworx, PINpoint , Freedom e log, Horiba etc
• Experience with the design, implementation, or support of control systems
