Job Description & Summary

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.
Our Accounting team helps internal leaders with fixed assets accounting and asset management, financial reporting, accounting research and analysis, statutory and regulatory reporting, and data security. As part of the team, you’ll assist with monthly closings, financial analysis, oversight and management of controls and compliance, tax and cash projections and data security.

Job Overview

Handling core accounting and finance activities including account closure and financial analytics.

Job Description

  • Core accounting and finance function for PwC SDC Kolkata.

  • Will be part of a team responsible for account closure and financial analytics related function.

  • May be sharing responsibilities for Taxation (indirect and direct) for PwC SDC Kolkata

  • Operations of various key verticals of Finance such as P2P, R2R etc

  • Adhering to Indian Accounting standards (Ind AS)

  • Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by working as a team member, understand personal and team roles and contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members and proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback

Requirements

  • Qualified chartered accountant with minimum 5 years of experience

  • core accounting and finance experience with exposure to managing account closure and financial analytics.

Should have good knowledge in

  • Indian Accounting standards (Ind AS)

  • Financial analysis through excel

  • Taxation (indirect and direct)

  • Financial Operations such as P2P, R2R etc.

Shall be willing to take independent responsibilities and able to work under tight deadlines.
