AddressRoles and Responsibilities:
- Managing API patent portfolio for US, Europe, India & ROW market
- In-depth patent infringement analysis for US, Europe, India & ROW market
- Initial IP guidance & periodic polymorph guidance to R&D team
- To perform Freedom to operate (FTO) analysis
- Suggestion of non-infringing/novel strategies for the development of API
- Supporting higher management with proper and efficient patent information for the supply and launch of APIs and drug products in regulated & non-regulated markets.
- IP support to the R&D team to circumvent IP of innovator and third parties
- Support to R&D team in polymorph statements for DMF filing, impurity justification, etc.
- Managing IP clearance of In-House as well as outsourced API
- Conduct searches on different databases including regional patent office database and Scifinder / Delphion / Total Patent /IMS / Orbit / Thomson pharma / Pharma Project etc.
- Responsible for providing the available literature and the novel route of synthesis of API
- Patent drafting, filing & prosecution for an invention related to API
- Patent invalidation report/ attorney brief including claim chart for review of In-House attorney
- Regular update of product evaluation report & IP summary
Desired Skills:
- Total Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of experience In API industry only.
- Qualification: Ph.d / M.Sc in Organic Chemistry
