What you will be responsible for
As UNIX Security Engineer you will;
- Evaluate and compare existing “in house” end point security products as they relate to a variety of unique enterprise-wide use cases
- Evaluate and test new leading edge end point security products from various vendors on an “as needed” basis
- Provide senior-level subject matter expertise on a variety of security-related issues
- Develop operational SOPs, system architectural diagrams, data workflows, queries, and reports as needed
- Provide requests for information from auditors, regulatory and governance bodies, IT Risk teams, and application owners as required
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role;
- Versed in the various types of malware and their methods of entry and modus operandi
- Knowledge of operating systems, network security, endpoint security
- Proficiency with a scripting language such as Python or Powershell a plus
- Familiarity with SQL and database concepts
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 12 years as a Security Engineer
- Experience with UNIX OS
- Experience managing UNIX tools such as UNIX scripting, PERL and PBRUN
Additional requirements
- Experience with Cloakware/Secrets management a plus
- Experience working in large complex environments (financial services a plus)
- CISSP and/or CCSP certs a plus!
