Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team.
This position will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the housing finance industry, exceptional financial acumen, and strong leadership skills to guide our finance team towards achieving our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives while ensuring financial stability and risk management.
- Oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, taxation, and internal controls.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team to inform decision making and drive business performance.
- Lead financial reporting processes, including the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including investors, regulators, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Manage capital raising activities, including debt and equity financing, and optimize capital structure to support business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market conditions to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- A Chartered Accountant with minimum of 10-15 years, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within the housing finance industry.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the housing finance sector.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound strategic decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
- Results-oriented mind-set with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
