Job Purpose
- Cash booking and application for payments received in accordance with defined SLAs and policies.
- Resolution of unidentified and unapplied cash through effective coordination with various finance functions
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs & KPIs
- Investigate reasons behind low ‘auto Cash Applications and work with IT and Global Process Champions to resolve the same
- Resolve bank reconciliations issues
Key Accountabilities
Stakeholder management
- Actively co-ordinate with Collections for resolution of UAC and UIC
- Timely submission of required and agreed reports to stakeholders
- Actively work and support Global Process Champion for Cash Applications to improve processes
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and meet defined targets
Execution of activities
- Daily Cash Application as per the agreed SLA based on bank statement received
- Supporting Cash GL closing timelines on Month end specially
- Managing the expectations of Credit & Collections team and handling their queries efficiently
- Ensuring completeness of SOPs and exception trackers
- Ensuring compliance to SOPs and Cash Application policies.
- Support with provision of supporting documents to Audit team
- Bank reconciliation to be performed on time without any deviation or exception.
Experience
Essential Experience
- Cash Application of minimum 2 years is a must
- Knowledge of various payment modes like – Direct Debits, ACH, Wire, Cheques etc
- Basic Accounting Knowledge (understanding of AR Journal Entries)
- Basic knowledge of Excel and other MS Office tools is a must. Candidate should know how to create pivots, formulaes like vlookup/hlookup etc
Desirable Experience
- Experience of other sub processes within Order to Cash Cycle will be an added advantage
Knowledge Skills
- Fluent in written and spoken english
- Analytical bent of mind
- Time Management - able to set priorities and work independently
Education/Certificates/Licenses/Registration required
B-Com or equivalent degree
