Job description

This function is being setup to enable roadmaps and eco-systems for auditing and improving the process efficiency and enhancing network-customer experience.
The role of the Processes and Capability function is three-fold – Process correction, automation and project enablement.
The Head of Processes and capability function will be responsible for auditing the running processes and shall work closely with all the verticals to improve them by re-inventing the identified process, cutting down on the redundant tasks and transforming these with a view of increasing the efficiency and strengthening the controls.
In terms of automation, define a clear roadmap of the existing tools and create toolkits to enable the users. The role is also accountable for ensuring the accuracy of the tools and adaption within the teams.
One of the prime deliverables of the role is enabling the projects that have been identified as critical and lead to long term correction – be it operational projects like AT or driving the FNIs of new solutions across all vertical or strategic projects like the ones required for 5G readiness.
The role holder must closely collaborate with the cross functional network teams and engineering counterparts to offer best in class network solutions. The position will primarily drive the business process transformation agenda to ensure the NOC, that serves the retail and Enterprise customers, is more agile and also future ready as we evolve towards 5G. The idea is to modernize the processes, integrate core systems, move to a fully automated journey for proactively identifying the faults, create processes to seamlessly incorporate evolving products and technologies with prime focus on saving the costs, upgrading the manpower skillsets and enhancing custom experience.
Responsibility

  • Transformation of existing process for simplification and end to end stitching
  • Elimination of manual intervention at small-small steps of process through automation
  • Identifying process gaps and stitching of broken process
  • All process CTQs/ KPIs matrix to be aligned to function and organization strategy / goals
  • Drive agenda and track process compliance by regular audits and presenting progress reports and integrating feedback
  • Evaluating existing business processes model across competition, determining and outlining process changes & improvements
  • Coordinating business process improvement strategies with internal stakeholders.
  • Overseeing all aspects related to the implementation stages of business process improvement initiatives
  • Analyzing and monitoring implemented changes to business processes and making adjustments as needed
  • Revising and updating procedures and policies time to time and ensure sign-off from relevant stake holders
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress with Automation, Digitation & Engineering teams
  • Adoption of system & tool across all NOC verticals and their relevant functions
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan with respective project manager or team to monitor and track progress
  • Drive a team for error free Acceptance Testing (AT) for any new product or device being integrating in network
Candidate Requirement
  • Deep understanding of Transport network architect and design (telecom domain)
  • Proven working experience in project management and understanding of process in telecom domain
  • Excellent external facing (OEMs / partners) and internal communication skills
  • Experience in field operation, NOC operation & vendor management will be added advantage
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience of 15+ years
