Head of Procurement

Position overview:We are looking for an experienced Procurement head to manage the SmartQ’s supply of products and services. Responsible for strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. His duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people.
What you will be doing:Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies.Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to , transparency, and compliance within the procurement process.Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and vendors to secure a consistent supply of high-quality items.Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and quality control, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of Procurement processes.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain product quality and on-time deliveries.Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages, while minimizing carrying costs.Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.Collaborate with key people to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.Lead a team of Procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure the team's growth and success.
What are we looking for?Proven 8 + years of working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement.Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.Talent in negotiations and networking Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.Experience in collecting and analyzing data.Strong leadership capabilities.Any degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.Multi-lingual communicator.
