Head Of Operations

Black & Grey HR is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading flexible packaging manufacturer in Ahmedabad, India. Our client is seeking a highly experienced Head of Operations to oversee and optimize manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our production and operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all production operations, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
  
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations and improve efficiency
  
• Ensure that the manufacturing processes comply with both local and global production standards
• Lead and mentor the operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve overall performance
  
• Manage the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, Infrastructure and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  
• Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  
• Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
  
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.
  
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and internal departments.
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably with a master's degree
  
• Strong understanding and certification of Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
  
• Minimum of 13 years of experience in a similar role within the flexible packaging manufacturing industry.
  
• Hands on Experience in reducing wastage, quality control, operational expense reduction, machine maintenance and process improvements
• Proven track record of success in leading and managing production and operations teams.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  
• Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans to achieve business objectives.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
