JOB OVERVIEW : The Head of Equity Capital Markets plays a strategic and leadership role in managing the team responsible for equity-related transactions. This includes overseeing the origination, structuring, and execution of equity offerings, as well as building and maintaining relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute the ECM strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Provide strong leadership to the ECM team, setting goals, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
2. Deal Origination and Execution:
- Oversee the origination, structuring, and execution of equity transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, block trades, and convertible securities.
- Work closely with the investment banking team, legal, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless deal execution.
3. Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients seeking equity financing and advisory services.
4. Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting Equity Capital Markets.
- Provide insights and recommendations to Senior Management based on market analysis.
5. Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing ECM team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
6. Risk Management:
- Assess and manage risks associated with equity transactions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
