Lead – EHSA Environment Management

Position Purpose
Head - Environment Management will be responsible for identifying improvement potential in existing EMS and suggest best technological solution for environmental norms of existing and proposed manufacturing facilities.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Develop the treatment scheme for proposed effluent streams from new products at the R&D scale and review for existing effluent streams.
- Identify opportunity for low cost environmental friendly treatment for existing waste streams
- Get updated with latest technological development in Environment Management and implement cost effective technology across company.
- Prepare proposal for implementation of technological solution and assist in implementation.
- Dealing with various waste handling agencies for treatment and disposal of wastes.
Operational Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance of existing waste treatment facility and assist in trouble shooting.
- Study the characteristics of existing waste streams and check possibility of cost effective treatment method.
- Identify the opportunity to reduce power consumption by implementing cost effective technological solution.
- Identify technology which can be implemented to achieve targeted results.
- Arrange resources for carry out pilot study including identify vendor who supply the technology, provide samples and run the pilot run in-house or outside. Monitor the performance of experimental batches and prepare study report.
- Present the report to management with merits and demerits.
- Convert beneficial study in to proposal and assist Lead -EHSA sustainability project in getting approval from management.
- Assist in smooth commissioning of project at the site.
- Dealing with various waste handling agencies to resolve issues like increase in waste disposal quantity, agreement with new facility, legal issues, etc.

Education Qualification
B.E/B.Tech in Chemical or M.Sc./PhD in Chemistry
Work Experience
15-20 years in Environment
