About the Role:The Accounts Receivable Head is responsible for overseeing the entire Accounts Receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, effective collections, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial processes.
Job Responsibilities:Supervise the generation and distribution of accurate and timely invoices to customers.Ensure that invoices comply with contractual terms and regulatory requirements.Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables.Monitor and analyze aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and take appropriate actions.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate prompt payment and address any invoicing or payment-related queries.Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer issues and disputes.Evaluate creditworthiness of new customers and establish credit limits.Monitor existing customers' credit terms and recommend adjustments as needed.Work closely with the finance team to forecast cash flows based on receivables and collections.Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).Prepare regular reports on Accounts Receivable performance, highlighting key metrics and trends.Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Continuously assess and enhance the efficiency of the Accounts Receivable process.Implement best practices and automation to streamline workflows.Ensure compliance with accounting policies, relevant regulations, and internal controls.Collaborate with the finance and legal teams to address compliance issues.
Required Skills, Experience & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and Master's degree and professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA) may be preferred.Proven experience in Accounts Receivable management, with a track record of improving collections and reducing DSO.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and manage a team.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
